https://ejournal.alqolam.ac.id/index.php/studipesantren/article/view/1561

The phenomenon of implementing Regional Regulations (Perda) based on Sharia in several regions of Indonesia has sparked various public reactions, particularly because these regulations are seen as local efforts to preserve Islamic values amidst the currents of modernization and globalization. This policy emerged alongside the introduction of regional autonomy in 1999, which granted greater authority to regional governments to govern their areas in line with the aspirations of local communities. Aceh stands out as a region with special rights to implement Sharia law through Law No. 11 of 2006. This phenomenon has given rise to diverse views and debates, from supporters who view Sharia regulations as an effort to uphold public morality, to critics who argue that these rules may discriminate against minority groups. This study aims to analyze the impacts, challenges, and controversies related to the implementation of Sharia-based regional regulations in Indonesia, particularly in Aceh. Using qualitative analysis methods, this research examines public perceptions of these regulations, their effectiveness, and their legal implications on citizens' fundamental rights. The findings indicate that, while Sharia regulations can create social order aligned with the norms of the majority, they also face challenges in terms of inconsistent law enforcement and potential conflicts with human rights principles, especially for non-Muslim communities.
Erina Dwi ParawatiMuhaimin

This research aims to find out the implementation of the Islamic Left movement in Pesantren education in Indonesia, in order to develop scientific knowledge and to restore the treasures of Islam. This research uses a leatherative method of literature review or literature review with narrative analysis obtained from various sources of books or research journals that are in accordance with the research domain. Pesantren as an example of Islamic education in Indonesia. Pesantren education has a long history, has a culture that prioritizes Islamic values, the education methods applied, and as a medium for da'wah. Pesantren in this modern era is not only focused on cultural education, but also penetrates into science, technology, and economic education. The progress of Pesantren today is in accordance with the vision of leftist Islam Hasan Hanafi who prioritizes scientific renewal which is not only focused on traditional science studies but also examines the science that exists in Indonesia and continues to run formal education provided by the government or the Pesantren itself. Currently, Muslims are experiencing a setback in science and technology where Muslims only enjoy technological products made by Western society. This certainly provides a challenge to Pesantren in this modern era while still prioritizing eastern culture. The need for the implementation of the Islamic Left in education in Pesantren with the presence of education related to IT or science that harmonizes with the Qur'an to develop the curriculum, so that it can enrich the Islamic treasures.
Agustin WulandariAhmad Fauzi

This research aims to explain the strategies the Indonesian Embassy School of Riyadh (SIR) has carried out to develop Islamic culture among its students. The methodology used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method, employing research instruments such as observation, interviews, and documentation. As a school located abroad and within an Arab community, the Indonesian Embassy School of Riyadh (SIR) feels challenged to compete in quality with schools in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Various programs have been implemented, including instilling Islamic culture in students, hoping they will become more religious and improve their overall quality. The results of the research show that the school has instilled Islamic culture in its students through programs such as Qur'an recitations, dhuha prayer, dzuhur prayer in the congregation, morning prayers, prayers after dhuha prayers, prayers before and after studying, prayers after shalah dzuhur, darsul Qur'an, wearing Islamic clothing, practicing Islamic values (e.g., greetings, smiling, saying hello, eating with the right hand, eating while sitting, praying before eating), learning Arabic inside and outside the classroom, and participating in extracurricular activities. A new finding in this research is that living in an Arab country does not necessarily ensure that one can practice Islamic culture if they are not accustomed to it and regulated by a system. Many students cannot read the Qur'an well, so the school prepares pre-tahsin classes for them. Additionally, many students cannot speak Arabic according to correct Arabic language rules because they are accustomed to speaking Arabic with the amiyah dialect. The Indonesian Embassy School of Riyadh (SIR) has implemented various strategies intending to enable students to compete globally.
Budi Marta SaudinHendar Ahmad Wibisono
