Plagiarism Policy

To maintain the highest standards of academic integrity, JIWO: Journal of Islamic Worldview strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism.

1. Screening Process

All manuscripts submitted to JIWO will be screened for originality using Turnitin plagiarism detection software. This screening occurs during the initial submission stage and before final publication.

2. Similarity Threshold

The maximum allowable similarity index is 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or may be subject to immediate rejection, depending on the nature of the duplicated content.

3. Author Recommendations

Authors are strongly advised to perform a self-check using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin, Grammarly, or Quetext) before submitting their manuscript to ensure it meets the journal's requirements.

4. Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected after publication, the journal will follow COPE guidelines, which may lead to a formal retraction of the article and notification of the author's institution.
