Publication Ethics

JIWO: Journal of Islamic Worldview is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. These guidelines adhere to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) standards to ensure transparency and fairness for all parties.

1. Editorial Responsibilities

  • Objective Decisions: Selecting manuscripts based on intellectual merit without regard to the author's race, gender, religion, or background.

  • Confidentiality: Protecting the privacy of submitted manuscripts and ensuring unpublished materials are not used for personal research.

  • Academic Integrity: Addressing allegations of misconduct (plagiarism, fabrication, etc.) through fair investigation and necessary corrections or retractions.

2. Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Objectivity: Conducting reviews professionally, honestly, and free from personal criticism.

  • Confidentiality: Treating all received manuscripts as strictly confidential documents.

  • Scientific Honesty: Identifying missing citations or any substantial overlap with previously published works.

3. Author Responsibilities

  • Originality: Ensuring the work is original, not plagiarized, and has not been published elsewhere.

  • Data Accuracy: Presenting research data honestly without manipulation or falsification.

  • Authorship: Ensuring all significant contributors are listed as authors and have approved the final version of the manuscript.

  • Transparency: Disclosing all sources of funding and promptly reporting any significant errors found in published articles.

4. Post-Publication Policy

JIWO remains open to academic critique and discussion through the Letter to the Editor mechanism. If fatal errors or ethical violations are discovered after publication, we will issue official corrections or retractions.
