Authorship Criteria

English Language Teaching Journal (ELTJ) follows internationally recognized principles of authorship and publication ethics. Authorship is granted only to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the research and manuscript.

To qualify for authorship, each author must meet the following criteria:

  1. Substantial Contribution: Have made a significant contribution to the conception or design of the study, data collection, analysis, interpretation, or development of the manuscript.

  2. Manuscript Preparation: Have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.

  3. Final Approval: Have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript before submission or publication.

  4. Accountability: Agree to take responsibility for their contributions and cooperate in addressing questions concerning the accuracy, integrity, or ethical conduct of the research.

All individuals listed as authors must meet these criteria. Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet the authorship requirements should be acknowledged appropriately, with their consent.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all eligible authors are included, that the author order is agreed upon by all authors, and that all co-authors have approved the submitted manuscript. Any changes to authorship, including adding, removing, or rearranging authors, must be justified and approved by all authors and the journal before publication.

ELTJ does not accept honorary, gift, or guest authorship. Authors must disclose any use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in accordance with the journal's AI policy. AI tools cannot be listed as authors, and human authors remain fully responsible for the content of the manuscript.

By submitting a manuscript to ELTJ, authors confirm that the authorship information is accurate, that all listed authors meet the stated criteria, and that all authors agree to the submission and publication process.
